Tropic Signs Aquires Comp U Cut SignsOn July 7th 2009, Tropic Signs entered into an agreement to purchase the assets and account information of Tarpon Springs oldest sign shop, Comp U Cut Signs. Previous owners Ronald Scott Elfstrom and wife Bonnie Elfstrom agreed to sell their business and assets to Tropic Signs in exchange for monetary compensation and an employment offer for R. Elfstrom. Assets aquired included all computer hardware and software and all customer files and designs that were accumulated over a 25 year period of business. Other assets includes some store fixtures and the phone lines associated with the name Comp U Cut Signs. Comp U Cut Signs was originally started by Bob Wier a well respected businessman in the Tarpon Springs Community. The company built a strong reputation for providing outstanding customer service and quality products to their patrons. Mr. Wier sold the interest in his business to Ronald Elfstrom in 2005.
